Send and receive money with people you trust — in minutes, right from your Alpine Bank app.

Zelle through Alpine Bank

Send money the way you send a text.

Zelle is built into the Alpine Bank mobile app — no separate app to download, no account to set up, no fees. Send money to friends, family, and anyone else you trust using just their email address or U.S. mobile number.

Money typically arrives in minutes, and both sides get a notification. It's the fastest way to move money between people you know.

Before you send: what to know

Zelle is designed for sending money to people you already know and trust — not for buying things from strangers online. Here are the basics worth understanding before your first transfer:

Only send money to people you know. Zelle transfers are instant and generally cannot be reversed. If you're paying someone you haven't met in person, use a payment method with buyer protection instead.

How to send money

  • Open the Alpine Bank mobile app and tap Zelle.
  • Choose or add a recipient using their U.S. mobile number or email address.
  • Enter the amount and confirm — the money leaves your account immediately.
  • Your recipient gets a notification and typically sees the money within minutes.

How to receive money

  • If you're already enrolled with Zelle at Alpine Bank, funds go straight into your account.
  • If you're not enrolled yet, you'll get a notification with instructions to enroll — it takes about a minute.
  • You can also enroll your email or phone number in the app under Settings → Zelle.

Limits and timing

  • Daily and monthly send limits apply and are shown in the app before you confirm each transfer.
  • Most transfers arrive in minutes, but some can take up to three business days depending on the recipient's bank.
  • Alpine Bank does not charge a fee for Zelle. Standard mobile carrier rates may apply.

If something goes wrong

If you sent money to the wrong person, contact us immediately. If the recipient hasn't enrolled yet, the transfer can sometimes be cancelled. Once the money has been delivered to an enrolled recipient, it cannot be reversed — which is why we ask you to double-check the recipient before confirming.

For anything that looks like a scam or fraud, call us right away at 213-340-5102 so we can help you respond quickly.
